Upholding Justice and Serving the Community
The Town of Burns Justice Court is responsible for maintaining fairness, accountability, and integrity in all local judicial proceedings. The Court handles matters such as traffic violations, small claims, landlord–tenant cases, and criminal offenses occurring within the town.
Guided by New York State law, the Town Court ensures that every case is handled promptly, professionally, and with respect for all individuals involved. The Justices and Court staff are dedicated to providing accessible, impartial service to residents while upholding the values of due process and community trust.
Residents should note that all payments, filings, and appearances must be handled directly through the Town Court. Correspondence sent to other town offices cannot be accepted or forwarded.
