The Town of Burns Code Enforcement Office is responsible for ensuring that all buildings, properties, and development projects within the town meet state and local codes designed to protect public health, safety, and welfare.
Our goal is to maintain the integrity and character of our community by enforcing building standards, zoning laws, and property maintenance regulations. Through education, inspection, and enforcement, we work to promote safe construction practices, preserve property values, and ensure compliance with New York State Building and Fire Codes.
Residents and contractors are encouraged to contact the Code Enforcement Officer before starting any new construction, renovation, or major property change to confirm what permits or approvals may be required.
