Working Together for the People of Burns

The Town Board serves as the governing body of the Town of Burns, responsible for shaping local policies, adopting budgets, and ensuring that all town operations reflect the best interests of the community. The Board oversees municipal services, enacts local laws, and manages town finances with transparency, accountability, and efficiency.

Each board member brings valuable experience and a shared commitment to maintaining the small-town values, safety, and sense of community that make Burns a wonderful place to live and work. Together, they address the needs of residents, guide town projects and planning, and uphold the vision of a strong and vibrant future for all.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Adopting and managing the annual town budget

  • Enacting and amending local laws and ordinances

  • Overseeing departments, committees, and town services

  • Reviewing and approving contracts, land use, and development proposals

  • Representing the interests and concerns of town residents

  • Supporting infrastructure, community events, and long-term planning

Town Board Meetings

The Town Board meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM at the Town Hall.
Residents are encouraged to attend, share input, and stay informed about local decisions and projects.
